about

“Completely improvised and using audio resources from 1978 to 1985, this project was recorded in 1986, released in 1988 on vinyl - under the name Douglas - and then in 1994 on CD - under the name Media Form - with additional tracks, both formats on the Suburbs of Hell records label; the main tracks were recorded at PBS, with the additional tracks in the Spike and Cleveland St studios, all in London. The piece ‘Beauty Report Two’ was used as the basis of a multi-layered live lacquer disc-cutting-recording performance event in 2007 at London’s Tate Modern, in the Turbine Hall there, employing Mathieu Briand’s 'Spiral’ turntable installation, glimpses of which can be found on YouTube”
